Take a moment to reflect on how many times within a day you have utilized artificial intelligence. I’m talking about every conversation with ChatGPT, any time at all you interacted with one. Several times, right? Now think about how much time you spent in all these instances. For some people minutes, and for others hours. We may not realize it but with many products and companies trying to become more immersed with AI, many of our daily tasks follow suit.
It’s weird to think about when we use AI, and sometimes we use it unknowingly. Many sites required for work such as Google Docs, slides, sheets, etc. have incorporated AI somehow, whether it be feedback or content generation. It definitely makes tasks easier, but it’s not right to use something when you have no idea how it works.
How do companies incorporate AI? For numerous companies, many tasks that needed monitoring on their hands have been replaced by AI. As well as other features that you may not realize, like the user interface could have been made by AI as well. Even coding is becoming a sector which AI is helping heavily with companies like Cursor.
I don’t think everyone realizes how much AI is used, but is it really bad? It makes tasks so much easier, and it’s a lot less work on our ends. For these reasons, I actually support the AI revolution in these multi-billion, even trillion dollar companies.
I think as time progresses, we will become increasingly impacted in a beneficial way by AI. I don’t think AI has the ability to become more powerful than humans, because even though I think it’s way more knowledgeable, there's just a certain element it lacks that differentiates it from truly being real.
That element is called conscience. I’d like to present a profound question, how do we know who we are? That is what conscience is, and even though AI can form unique questions, it gets information by scraping things off the web and recognizes patterns and makes its own one. It takes AI tons of photos to tell the difference between a cat and a dog, and a 2 year old can see them once or twice and tell the difference.
To summarize, AI is becoming a major part of our lives, but in a beneficial way and will continue to do so. I advise anyone who wants to start a company to utilize it. Don’t take my opinion on this one too seriously, check with others, as I haven't started one myself, but can visibly see how much easier it can make the process.
